Hepatitis


Is liver inflammation that can be caused by various types of virus. The symptoms are similar to those of the flu and there is also jaundice (yellowish discoloration of the skin caused by the deposit of a substance produced by the liver). The person needs to be at rest and follow the medical guidelines.

Some forms of hepatitis are transmitted by water and food contaminated by feces (Type A and E). Other types are transmitted by blood transfusion (B, C) or by sex.
