Sponges and Spermicides

The sponges are made of polyurethane, are adapted to the cervix with handle for removal and are disposable (unlike the diaphragm).

They are associated with spermicides, which are chemicals that immobilize and destroy sperm and can also be used in combination with the diaphragm or preservatives.

They come in various presentations of spermicides: creams, jellies, suppositories, tablets and foams.
