Vasectomy and tubal ligation

Sterilization (vasectomy and tubal ligation) is a method surgical and definitive contraceptive.

It is performed in women through ligation or cutting of the tubes, preventing the meeting of male and female gametes. In men, it is performed by ligating or cutting the vas deferens (vasectomy), which prevents the presence of sperm in the ejaculated fluid.

When there is indication of surgical contraception male and especially female, should be based on strict criteria, observing the current legislation.
